Role Description
The Chef Faculty – Hot Kitchen (Indian) is a full-time, on-site position located in Verna. The role involves preparing and delivering instructional lessons to culinary students with a focus on Indian cuisine, developing a comprehensive hot kitchen curriculum, and assessing students’ skills and progress. Responsibilities also include maintaining standards of hygiene, ensuring safety in kitchen operations, mentoring students, and staying updated on culinary trends and techniques related to Indian cooking. Collaboration with faculty members to enhance overall culinary education is a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Indian cuisine, including traditional and contemporary cooking techniques and recipes.
- Proven teaching, lesson planning, and curriculum development skills in a culinary education setting.
- Strong kitchen management capabilities, including safety, hygiene practices, and effective team collaboration.
- Exceptional communication, mentorship, and organizational skills to inspire and guide students.
- Relevant culinary certifications or diplomas, with prior experience in professional kitchens and/or culinary teaching.
- Willingness to continuously update knowledge of culinary techniques and trends in Indian cuisine.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented academic environment.
