Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chef De Partie based in Puducherry. The Chef De Partie will oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes in accordance with the highest culinary standards. They will manage kitchen operations, supervise junior staff, and collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menus. The role includes ensuring food quality, maintaining cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards, and managing inventory to prevent wastage. The candidate will also contribute to enhancing the dining experience by maintaining precision and creativity in their cooking.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating skills
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff
- Ability to create and execute creative and innovative menu ideas
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety, as well as hygiene regulations
- Strong organization, time management, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Culinary certification or relevant professional experience is preferred
- Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is an advantage
