Role Description The Checker role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Checker will review and verify structural steel drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and relevant codes. This role involves cross-checking dimensions, connections, material specifications, and fabrication details, and coordinating with design, engineering, and production teams to resolve discrepancies. The Checker will maintain documentation of revisions, support quality control processes, and help ensure that drawings are ready for fabrication and installation. Daily tasks include working with CAD or detailing software, reviewing project documentation, and supporting smooth communication between engineering and manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical drawing review skills, including experience with structural steel detailing, dimension checks, and connection verification.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in CAD or detailing software and familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and steel fabrication practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in documentation control, revision tracking, and quality assurance for drawings and project records.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, fabrication, and project management teams.
- Relevant diploma or degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, or a related field; prior experience in structural steel projects or infrastructure is highly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to safety and quality in an on-site industrial environment.
