Role Overview
- Customer is seeking qualified Chartered Accountants (CAs) with strong India-specific finance, audit, and compliance expertise to support Fixed Assets, Leasing, and Accounting operations across multiple legal entities. The role demands hands- on experience in statutory audits, reconciliations, India tax compliance, and complex audit cycles, with the ability to operate in a global, decentralized tax and finance environment.
- The candidates will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and financial accuracy, particularly in the context of India 3CD tax audit reporting, CSR compliance, and interim and annual audit cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reconciliations:
- Perform end- to- end accounting activities across multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Indian statutory requirements.
- Own and execute balance sheet and P\&L reconciliations, including timely identification and resolution of variances.
- Support month- end, quarter- end, and year- end close activities, with a strong focus on audit- critical accounts.
Audit Management (Statutory, Interim & Annual)
- Lead and support statutory audits, including preparation and review of audit schedules, working papers, and responses to auditor queries.
- Handle India Tax Audit requirements, including Form 3CD reporting, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Support interim audits, recognizing that Customer's interim audit cycles are complex, intensive, and high- visibility.
- Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, auditors, and global finance teams.
India Taxation & Compliance
- Manage and support India- specific taxation and regulatory compliance, in a decentralized global tax operating model.
Ensure Compliance With
- Direct tax provisions and reporting
- India statutory and regulatory requirements
- CSR mandatory compliance under Indian regulations
- Support tax- related reconciliations, documentation, and audit evidence requirements.
Fixed Assets & Leasing Accounting
- Provide accounting and compliance support for Fixed Assets and Leasing processes operating at a global model level.
- Ensure correct capitalization, depreciation, lease accounting, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Support reconciliations and audit requirements related to FA and Lease accounting.
Stakeholder & Global Coordination
- Collaborate closely with global finance, tax, and audit teams, ensuring alignment with Customer's global policies while meeting India- specific requirements.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with auditors and internal stakeholders, including explaining complex accounting or compliance matters.
Required Qualifications & Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualification.
3-5 years of post- qualification experience in:
- Audit
- Accounting across entities
- Financial reconciliations
- India taxation and compliance
Strong Hands On Experience With
- India Tax Audit (Form 3CD)
- Statutory audit processes
- CSR compliance
Preferred / Advantageous
- Experience supporting multinational or global organizations.
- Exposure to decentralized tax and finance operating models.
- Prior involvement in interim audit cycles in addition to annual audits.
- Experience with Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting in a large- scale environment.
