Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Ponda with SSRC Logistics Ltd. The Chartered Accountant will manage day-to-day financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance, preparation of financial statements, and reconciliation of accounts. The role involves overseeing statutory compliances such as taxation, GST, TDS, and other regulatory filings, while ensuring accurate and timely submissions. The individual will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to inform business decisions and optimize operational and capital expenditures. Responsibilities also include internal control reviews, coordination with auditors, monitoring cost structures across transport and warehousing operations, and providing financial insights to management for process improvements and risk mitigation. The Chartered Accountant will collaborate closely with operations, logistics, and senior leadership teams to maintain robust financial governance and support the company’s growth.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA), with strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Experience in corporate accounting, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in direct and indirect taxation, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance relevant to logistics or similar industries.
- Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills for financial modeling and reporting.
- Understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit processes, including coordination with internal and external auditors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and present financial information clearly.
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain sectors is an advantage.
