Role Overview
The Chartered Accountant – Internal Audit will be responsible for evaluating and strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting risk management processes across the organization. The role involves both office-based analysis and on-site audits, including travel as required.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits across business functions to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, processes, and risk management frameworks
- Review financial records, transactions, and operational procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Evaluate adherence to regulatory guidelines, including those applicable to Portfolio Management Services
- Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of risk, and recommend actionable improvements
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risk assessments, and recommendations
- Perform process audits for new and existing workflows to enhance operational efficiency
- Monitor and follow up on implementation of audit recommendations
- Conduct on-site audits and visits to branches, partners, or investee companies as required
- Assist in developing and standardizing internal audit procedures and checklists
- Support management in risk assessment and compliance reviews
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies, if required
