Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Mumbai. The Chartered Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial statements, and overseeing general ledger entries. The role involves managing taxation matters, including direct and indirect taxes, ensuring timely compliance with statutory requirements, and coordinating with auditors and regulatory authorities. The Chartered Accountant will support budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning for ongoing and upcoming real estate projects, as well as analyze project costs, profitability, and financial risks. The role also includes preparing MIS reports for management, improving internal controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as projects, sales, and legal to ensure accurate financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting and financial reporting skills, including general ledger management, finalization of accounts, and preparation of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Candidates should possess taxation and compliance skills, including knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws, GST, TDS, and experience in statutory filings and regulatory reporting.
- Candidates should possess financial analysis and planning skills, including budgeting, variance analysis, cash flow management, and project cost and profitability analysis.
- Candidates should possess audit and control skills, including coordination with internal and external auditors, implementation of internal controls, and adherence to accounting standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to work with ERP systems and generate detailed financial reports.
- Candidates should possess strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present financial insights clearly.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant post-qualification experience in real estate or related industries is preferred; exposure to Mumbai real estate regulations and RERA compliance will be an advantage.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
