Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role located in Ahmedabad. The Chartered Accountant will handle end-to-end accounting, auditing, taxation, and compliance assignments for domestic and international clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing statutory and tax audits, handling direct and indirect tax filings, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting and regulatory standards. The role involves advising clients on financial management, internal controls, and process improvements, as well as supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. The Chartered Accountant will collaborate with internal teams, coordinate with clients, and contribute to documentation, quality reviews, and continuous improvement of service delivery.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant qualification from a recognized professional body; bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices (e.g., Indian GAAP, familiarity with IFRS/US GAAP is an advantage).
- Experience in statutory audit, internal audit, and assurance services, including risk assessment and internal control evaluation.
- Proficiency in direct and indirect taxation, tax planning, and preparation and review of tax returns and related documentation.
- Comfort with accounting and ERP software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools; ability to work with cloud-based systems and outsourced processes.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and collaborate in a team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple engagements.
- Prior experience in an accounting or CA firm, especially with international or outsourcing assignments, is preferred.
