About The Role
This is a full-time remote position suited for a Chartered Accountant with a passion for accounting operations and technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing core accounting processes for our global clients. Your primary focus will be on accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor management, reconciliations, and the month-end close cycle.
In this role, you will review accounting exceptions, validate data within ERP systems, and prepare detailed schedules and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will document accounting decisions, support client onboarding, and collaborate closely with our product development team to enhance the capabilities of ProcIndex’s AI agents. Your insights will help shape the future of AI-enabled finance workflows, ensuring our platform continues to meet the evolving needs of modern finance teams.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Accountant to expand their expertise beyond traditional audit or tax roles. You will gain hands-on experience working with global clients, advanced ERP systems, and innovative automation tools, positioning you at the cutting edge of finance technology.
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant professional credentials.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, monthly closing, and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Zoho Books.
- Proficiency in reviewing invoices, vendor records, purchase order matches, customer balances, payments, and reconciliation reports.
- Excellent Excel and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data effectively.
- Clear and concise written communication skills, capable of documenting complex accounting decisions and processes.
- High attention to detail combined with strong accounting judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with international clients, outsourced accounting services, controllership functions, or providing audit support is advantageous.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or similar accounting standards is preferred.
- An interest in accounting automation, AI tools, and technological innovation within finance is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage and review accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Validate data within ERP systems, including vendor records, customer accounts, and payment transactions.
- Prepare and analyze reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end closing.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies or exceptions promptly.
- Document accounting decisions and processes clearly to facilitate audits and internal reviews.
- Support onboarding of new clients by understanding their existing accounting workflows and integrating them into ProcIndex’s platform.
- Collaborate with the product team to provide user feedback and help improve AI agents’ performance and capabilities.
- Assist in maintaining internal controls and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and policies.
- Participate in continuous learning about emerging trends in accounting automation, AI, and finance technology.
