Role Overview
Accounting Engineer at Chop Finance
Our Accounting Engineers are Chartered Accountants who combine deep domain expertise with a systems mindset to transform how finance and accounting work is delivered.
They operate at the intersection of client delivery, process design, and AI, working closely with founders and finance teams to build structured workflows, ensure high-quality outputs, and drive better financial operations.
They secure the “delivery win” by:
- Owning end-to-end execution across GST, income tax, TDS, and bookkeeping
- Building scalable workflows and playbooks
- Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and speed
This role is for CAs who want to go beyond execution and help build the future of professional services.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery across GST, income tax, TDS, and bookkeeping
- Review outputs and ensure high quality standards
- Manage a team and ensure timelines and accountability
- Build playbooks and standardize workflows
- Work directly with founders and finance teams
- Drive automation and AI adoption in workflows
What You'll Have
- CA with 2–3 years post qualification at a top tier accounting firm or/and in-house finance team
- Strong in GST, income tax, TDS, MIS, financial analysis & modelling.
- Deep expertise in Tally
- Curiosity about AI’s potential to transform the accounting industry.
Preferred
- Prior experience in startup ecosystem
- Familiarity with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Tally, Zoho and QuickBooks
