Role Description The Chartered Accountancy Articleship Trainee internship role at SWATI A & CO. is a remote position that supports the firm’s accounting, audit, and tax assignments. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting in bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, supporting audit procedures, and helping with tax return preparation and compliance documentation. Trainees will be expected to work with spreadsheets and accounting software, maintain organized work papers, and prepare working notes under supervision. The role involves coordinating with team members, responding to queries, and adhering to professional standards and deadlines. This internship is designed to provide practical experience aligned with Chartered Accountancy training requirements.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) with eligibility for articleship training, and a strong foundation in accounting and finance principles.
- Proficiency in basic accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, preparation of ledgers, and assistance in drafting financial statements.
- Ability to support audit and assurance work, including documentation, testing of controls under guidance, and preparation of working papers.
- Interest and aptitude in taxation, including understanding of direct and indirect tax concepts and willingness to learn compliance procedures.
- Comfort with using spreadsheets and accounting or ERP software, and maintaining accurate digital records in a remote work environment.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with team members in a remote setting.
- High ethical standards, willingness to learn, and ability to manage time and meet deadlines while handling multiple assignments.
