About the role

The India Sales Lead - Energy & Industrial will be responsible for the growth and success of the sales of Chart equipment and services in the India Energy & Industrial market. They will lead a team of sales professionals and work closely with the South Asia Managing Director to build an effective sales strategy to achieve the company's sales and revenue goals. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals and channel partners to drive sales growth in the India Energy & Industrial market • Develop and execute account strategies to identify, generate, and close new business opportunities • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including end-users, engineering firms, and OEMs • Collaborate with the engineering, operations, and service teams to provide technical and commercial support to customers • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and presentations to effectively communicate the value proposition of Chart's products and services • Travel to customer sites and industry events to understand market trends and customer needs • Provide timely sales forecasts and performance reports to management • Ensure compliance with Chart's policies, procedures, and quality standards Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field • Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial sales, with a focus on the energy and/or power generation industries • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets • Strong technical understanding of equipment and systems used in the energy and industrial sectors • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Proficiency in English and the local language (Hindi, Tamil, or others as applicable) • Willingness to travel extensively within India and occasionally to other countries • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
