As Sales Manager at the Charleston Marriott Town Center, you drive revenue and build lasting relationships with clients. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements sales strategies to maximize hotel revenue.
- Manages and grows a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Identifies new business opportunities through market analysis and proactive business development efforts.
- Negotiates contracts and finalizes agreements to achieve optimal profitability.
- Collaborates with event planning and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events and meetings.
- Monitors market trends and analyzes competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Leads and mentors a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals.
- Participates in revenue management meetings to optimize pricing and inventory strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel sales or a related sales role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue.
- Experience with account management and business development.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong knowledge of hotel sales principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Delphi).
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Marriott brand standards and systems.
- Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP) designation.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions:
