About the role

Utilise your events experience to design, plan and execute a variety of events at CDU About the Position As the Events Officer, you will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and execution of CDU's major events, ranging from Open Days, academic conferences, student recruitment activations to community outreach programs. The role supports the university's strategic objectives by delivering high-quality events that enhance the university's reputation, promotes future student recruitment, and foster connections with both internal and external stakeholders. Possessing exceptional communication skills, the Events Officer has a lead role in stakeholder management, utilising project management skills to deliver events on time and within budget, whilst maintaining a strategic focus on the return on investment of activities. Familiar with event operations and logistics, the Event Officer requires a strong understanding of the customer journey, from pre-event marketing and promotion, through attendance and on-the-day experience, to post-event follow-up and conversion, ensuring events contribute to the University's broader growth and engagement objectives. As the Event Officer, you must have the ability to travel to regional and remote locations and at times, will be required to work outside standard office hours depending on events and peak periods of workload.
