Role Overview
Channel Sales Manager (Agency ) will be responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with Agents to drive the distribution of TATA AIG’s insurance products. This role demands strong relationship-building abilities, communication skills, and an enthusiastic approach to customer and partner engagement.
Role & Responsibility
• Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement channel sales strategies to achieve overall business goals
and targets.
• Agent Management: Responsible for driving recruitment & activation of agent. To recruit and appoint
producers/agents for General Insurance business
• Engagement: Dedicated for driving the market as per our organization priorities by motivating the agents-
organizing monthly meets, engagement activities, training programs, knowledge sharing & upgrading, awards
& rewards, feedback programs to ensure organizational goal.
• Training: Coach & guide the producers/agents to cross sell and grow their business & make individual producer
grow Year on Year. Support and guide the producers/agents in all activities related to policy issuance, servicing
& claims
• Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities
for growth.
• LOB: Developing all Agency LOB’s like GWP, Health, IPA, CL to new benchmarks & keeping the COR paramount
with ensuring hygiene business practice.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in sales
operations. Ensure IRDAI compliance regarding licensing & commission payments to producers
Education & Experience Requirements
• Any Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred
• Banking/ Insurance sales experience preferred
Preferred Skills
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
