Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Chandler to lead our production line and drive product innovation. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of our products, from raw material sourcing and scent development to ensuring every batch meets our rigorous safety and quality standards.
Experience: 5+ years in professional candle manufacturing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Technical Expertise: Mastery of wax chemistry, including melt points, pour temperatures, and fragrance load capacities.
* Precision: High attention to detail in measuring additives and documenting batch records for consistency.
* Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and fix production bottlenecks or manufacturing defects.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and safely handle large quantities of molten wax.
* Leadership: Experience mentoring junior makers and coordinating with marketing or sales teams for new launches.
Key Responsibilities:
* Formula Development: Create and refine candle formulations, including selecting optimal wax blends (soy, beeswax, coconut & paraffin) and testing wick-to-vessel ratios for a perfect burn.
* Production Oversight: Manage daily production schedules, supervise junior staff, and operate industrial- scale melting and pouring equipment.
* Scent & Color Artistry: Lead the development of new fragrance profiles and color palettes, ensuring consistent "cold and hot throw" across all product lines.
* Quality Control & Safety: Conduct rigorous burn tests to troubleshoot issues like tunneling, soot, or scent migration, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations.
* Inventory & Sourcing: Manage relationships with suppliers to source high-quality wicks, fragrances, and sustainable materials while maintaining tight inventory controls.
