About Chai Vision

Chai Vision is a fast-growing eCommerce company managing a portfolio of direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands across high-impact categories—from fitness and wellness to home, pet care, and supplements. We scale rapidly on platforms like Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok Shop through a data-driven, community-first approach and a relentless focus on product-market fit.

Role Summary

The Head of Retail leads Chai Vision’s wholesale team, driving growth by building strong B2B partnerships and expanding retail distribution channels. This role exists to accelerate Chai Vision’s mission of creating community-first, customer-obsessed experiences while ensuring efficiency in sales execution. By strategically balancing top-of-funnel acquisition with bottom-of-funnel account development, the Head of Retail ensures sustainable revenue growth, strong client relationships, and alignment with the company’s broader brand and business strategy.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute retail growth strategies that balance acquisition (top of funnel) and retention/expansion (bottom of funnel).
  • Set wholesale sales targets and establish account strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.

Execution & Optimization

  • Oversee day-to-day wholesale account management, including product placement, promotions, and performance tracking.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, retail partnerships, and distribution channels.

Team Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment on retail strategies and account priorities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for retail accounts, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.

Performance Reporting

  • Track and report on wholesale performance, market trends, and emerging opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Provide insights into channel growth, profitability, and account health.

Oversight vs. Doing

  • Oversight: Establish strategic direction, set targets, negotiate contracts, and manage high-level partner relationships.
  • Doing: Directly manage accounts, pitch new business, and execute tactical initiatives to drive revenue.

Who You Are

  • You thrive in high-growth, multi-brand environments with diverse product categories.
  • You’re both strategic and execution-driven, comfortable owning the sales strategy while also managing key accounts.
  • You’re collaborative, organized, and outcome-focused, with a track record of hitting and exceeding revenue goals.
  • You have a deep understanding of wholesale/retail account management, distribution, and omnichannel sales strategies.
  • You excel at relationship-building and are energized by cultivating long-term partnerships.
  • You adapt quickly to market shifts and competitive landscapes, leveraging data and insights to drive decision-making.
  • You have a proven track record with retail and big box retailers

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in wholesale, retail sales, or business development within consumer goods, DTC, or omnichannel brands.
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling products with national and/or big-box retailers.
  • Strong understanding of retail economics, margin structures, promotional planning, and assortment strategy.
  • Experience managing complex accounts and negotiating high-value retail agreements.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Analytical mindset with strong forecasting, reporting, and performance management skills.

  • Excel/Google Sheets for forecasting and reporting
  • Slack, Notion, and project management tools for collaboration
