Your future duties and responsibilities
- Scrum masters: Agile practitioners who can drive process and team cohesion
Scrum Master
An effective Scrum Master does the following:
Teaches and enables Agile values and principles and tactics
Helps the team clear obstacles and remove impediments
Organizes, facilitates and supports team routines and events (as needed)
Facilitates team retrospectives and enables continuous improvement
Mediates through conflicts and relationships
Helps the team to make decisions
Fosters team’s self-organization
Keeps the team focused on the current Sprint and achieving Sprint goals
Supports information radiators for increased transparency
Helps team to learn from its experiences
Helps coach on story writing/splitting practices
Partners with the Product Manager on product backlog, release planning, product roadmap activities
Helps to further the Agile community within the organization
Helps the team maintain agile tools
Helps team define Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
