About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled ETL ester with strong expertise in ETL processes, SQL, and a basic understanding of DevOps practices. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our data integration and automation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
ETL Testing: Validate data transformations, data quality, and data integrity throughout the ETL pipelines.
SQL Expertise: Write complex SQL queries to verify data correctness and perform thorough back-end testing of databases.
Python: Good Working experience in scripting languages
Test Planning & Execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports. Perform both functional and non-functional testing.
Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and track defects in collaboration with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, data engineers, and product owners to understand requirements and improve overall product quality.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the automation testing framework.
Qualifications:
Experience: 4+ years of experience in automation testing with a focus on ETL, data warehousing, or big data environments.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex queries and database testing. Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, etc.). Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying issues and ensuring data accuracy.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Good to have:
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
