Your future duties and responsibilities
Job Summary:
Responsible for the configuration, administration, and ongoing support of the Collibra platform. This includes ensuring the platform is utilized efficiently to meet the organization’s data governance needs, managing user roles and permissions, monitoring the platform’s performance, and troubleshooting issues. The role involves working closely with various teams to ensure that data management policies are applied across the organization, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
- Collibra Platform Management:
- Configure, install, and maintain the Collibra platform (including workflows, business rules, and metadata models).
- Monitor platform performance and implement optimization strategies as necessary.
- Regularly update the platform to ensure it’s running the latest version with all necessary patches.
- User Access and Permissions:
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access levels within the Collibra platform.
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards by controlling access to sensitive data.
- Collaborate with HR and IT departments to onboard and offboard users from the platform.
- Data Governance & Quality:
- Ensure proper implementation of data governance frameworks within Collibra.
- Assist data stewards and business users in defining data governance policies, including data definitions, data lineage, and metadata management.
- Enforce data quality rules and policies and track compliance.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Act as the first line of support for issues related to the Collibra platform.
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify, resolve, and document issues.
- Provide end-user support and training on the platform’s features.
- Integration and Automation:
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Collibra with other enterprise systems (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, business intelligence tools).
- Automate workflows and business processes within Collibra to enhance operational efficiency.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate and maintain reports to track data governance and quality metrics.
- Provide insights on platform usage, compliance, and governance effectiveness to stakeholders.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, business users, and other key stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that Collibra is configured to meet business needs.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new users to ensure effective use of the platform.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Minimum of 4+years of experience in managing, configuring, and supporting Collibra or similar data governance tools.
- Experience in data governance, data management, and metadata management.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality principles, and metadata management.
- Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- Collibra Certified Professional or similar certifications.
- ITIL Foundation or other relevant IT service management certifications.
