About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing and professionally managed manufacturing group is setting up a Greenfield FRHC Copper Rod manufacturing project with a long-term vision of becoming a leading player in the Indian metals industry.
The organization is backed by experienced promoters with an established presence in the FRHC copper rod manufacturing sector and is now looking to onboard a highly capable Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner directly with the promoters in building a scalable, process-driven, and financially robust enterprise.
This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a strategic finance professional who can combine financial expertise with operational understanding, system-building capability, and strong business partnering skills.
Role Overview
The CFO will act as a strategic finance leader, operational controller, banking relationship manager, system architect, and trusted advisor to the promoters.
The ideal candidate should bring strong manufacturing finance experience, preferably from metals, copper, aluminium, steel, cable, or continuous process industries, along with exposure to greenfield projects and project finance environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall finance, accounts, taxation, treasury, audit, and compliance functions.
- Build and implement robust financial systems, SOPs, internal controls, governance frameworks, and MIS structures for a greenfield setup.
- Manage project finance, capex monitoring, banking relationships, working capital planning, LC/BG operations, and fundraising activities.
- Handle consortium banking, stock audits, rating agencies, financial closures, and term loan negotiations.
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly MIS dashboards covering production, inventory, yield losses, energy costs, profitability, cash flow, and working capital cycles.
- Drive ERP implementation and finance automation initiatives.
- Monitor inventory reconciliation, process losses, yield analysis, and commodity-linked financial risks.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, legal advisors, and external financial stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with direct tax, indirect tax, Companies Act, and regulatory requirements.
- Support strategic procurement and long-term commercial contract structuring.
- Build and lead a high-performance finance and commercial team.
- Act as a financial risk-review layer for promoters across liabilities, guarantees, and commercial commitments.
- Support promoter-level financial planning, wealth structuring, tax optimisation, and long-term financial sustainability initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- CA / CMA
- 12–22 years of experience in manufacturing industries.
- Prior exposure to metals, copper, aluminium, steel, cable, or commodity-linked sectors preferred.
- Strong experience in greenfield projects, project finance, and plant finance operations.
- Hands-on expertise in costing, inventory controls, treasury, and banking management.
- Experience in ERP implementation and process automation.
- Ability to work closely with promoters in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
