About the opportunity
We are hiring for a well-funded Series B startup based in Bangalore, backed by a large foreign institutional PE firm, with revenues exceeding ₹200 Cr and a strong growth trajectory. The company is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to partner closely with the founders and lead the organisation through a structured IPO readiness journey over the next two to three years. This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal inflection point and play a central role in shaping the company's path to public markets.
Key responsibilities
IPO Readiness & Capital Markets
• Lead end-to-end IPO preparation including DRHP filing, regulatory coordination, and investor documentation
• Drive capital markets strategy in partnership with investment bankers, legal counsel, and auditors
• Build and manage relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and market stakeholders
Financial Strategy & Planning
• Own the company's long-term financial strategy aligned with growth and listing objectives
• Lead fundraising, capital allocation, and balance sheet optimisation initiatives
• Provide strategic financial counsel directly to the founders and board
Governance, Compliance & Reporting
• Establish robust financial controls, reporting frameworks, and audit processes in line with public market standards
• Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance across all financial operations
• Drive improvements in financial systems, data integrity, and internal controls
Supply Chain & Operational Finance
• Partner with operations leadership to optimise working capital, inventory management, and supply chain financing
• Provide financial oversight across distribution and manufacturing-linked cost structures
• Identify and execute operational efficiency initiatives with measurable P&L impact
Ideal candidate
• 12–20 years, Qualified CA or MBA from a top-tier institution, with a strong preference for manufacturing or distribution-led businesses
• Proven hands-on involvement in an IPO process, with direct exposure to DRHP filing and public market readiness
• Strong business and strategy orientation, with the ability to function as a trusted partner to founders
• Deep understanding of supply chain economics, inventory management, and operational finance
