Role Description The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of nursing and rehabilitation professionals in an on-site, full-time role based in Hyderabad. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while maintaining safety, dignity, and comfort. The CNA will help with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, transferring, and walking, and support rehabilitation activities as directed by therapists and nurses. Additional tasks include monitoring and recording vital signs, observing and reporting changes in patient condition, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring clean, organized patient rooms and equipment. The CNA will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and families, and adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent recognized nursing assistant qualification, with current registration as required by local regulations.
- Experience in patient care within rehabilitation, acute care, long-term care, or similar clinical settings, preferably with neurological, orthopedic, geriatric, cardiac, or stroke patients.
- Strong skills in assisting with activities of daily living, patient hygiene, mobility support, and safe transfer techniques, including use of lifting equipment when needed.
- Ability to accurately measure and document vital signs, intake and output, and other basic clinical observations, and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and basic emergency procedures, with consistent adherence to hospital policies and standards.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams in a diverse environment.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and resilience when working with individuals undergoing long-term rehabilitation and complex recovery journeys.
