Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Medical Coder & Biller. The role involves reviewing and analyzing patient medical records to assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services. The Certified Medical Coder & Biller will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain accurate billing records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Internal medicine based specialties
• Proficiency in Medical Coding, including a strong understanding of coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management practices
• Certifications such as RHIT or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in medical coding and billing
• Experience in coding within healthcare or clinical environments
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and a thorough understanding of insurance and billing processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with healthcare professionals
• Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare software is a plus
