Role Description
This is a contract role for a Certified US Accent Trainer. Based on-site in Puducherry, India, the trainer will deliver specialized training programs to improve American English pronunciation, intonation, and accent among trainees. Responsibilities include evaluating participants' language skills, designing effective training modules, conducting interactive sessions, and providing feedback to ensure participants' continuous improvement in communication skills. The trainer will also monitor progress and maintain detailed records of training outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of US English pronunciation, accent adaptation, and linguistic nuances.
- Experience in designing and executing effective training programs, including lesson planning and assessment techniques.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and feedback-giving skills.
- Cultural awareness and the ability to empathize with non-native English speakers.
- Certified in accent training and/or spoken English teaching; relevant certifications (e.g., TESOL, TEFL) are strongly preferred.
- Ability to engage and manage diverse groups of participants in an on-site setting.
- Proficiency with presentation tools and digital learning platforms is a plus.
- A bachelor's degree in Linguistics, English, Communication, or a related field is preferred.
