The Centre for Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) operates across Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, and Punjab to promote economically and ecologically sustainable farming practices. With a vision to make agriculture productive and environmentally conscious, CSA has scaled its Non-Pesticidal Management practices to over 1.4 million acres in collaboration with government and NGO partners. CSA is widely recognized for its expertise in addressing unsustainable agricultural practices and advocating for their regulation, including issues related to chemical pesticides and GM crops. The organization’s core strength lies in developing and implementing sustainable crop management solutions in regions facing significant economic and ecological challenges.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cuddapah for a Certification Coordinator. Responsibilities include managing and coordinating certification processes, ensuring compliance with sustainable agriculture standards, and supporting farmers and stakeholders in meeting certification requirements. The Certification Coordinator will also lead training programs, provide customer support for certification-related inquiries, and collaborate on project management activities linked to sustainability and agricultural certifications.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to assess compliance with certification standards and sustainable practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to support stakeholders and farmers
- Proven project management and organizational abilities to efficiently handle certification processes
- Experience in training programs and facilitating learning for diverse audiences
- Familiarity with sustainable agriculture practices and certification requirements is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in local languages is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in challenging field conditions
