Join CERN's Platforms Infrastructure team and play a key role in maximizing the efficiency and impact of accelerator devices (GPUs and beyond) for cutting-edge scientific computing! Responsibilities As part of our team, you will: Build and manage a centralized GPU resource pool, ensuring fair and efficient allocation through quotas, pre-emption, and backfilling strategies. Collaborate and integrate with teams across CERN IT (notebooks, CI/CD, machine learning, batch services, and more) to streamline GPU accessibility and usability. Innovate and optimize by researching and implementing state-of-the-art GPU sharing solutions tailored to diverse workloads. This is a great chance to push the boundaries of computing at scale in one of the world's most exciting scientific environments! Qualifications Experience with Kubernetes and cloud native tools and ecosystem (CKA is a plus) Experience with GPUs and other hardware accelerators Experience with Linux and cloud native system administration Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Computing Engineering, Computer Science (or a related field) Highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree
