About the Role
We are establishing a Section 8 Company to build a world-class incubation and innovation platform. Our vision is to create one of India’s most impactful startup ecosystems by supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, research commercialization, and startup growth.
This is not a conventional institutional leadership role.
We are looking for a builder who can create, scale, and lead the institution from the ground up.
The CEO will lead the incubation platform and be responsible for building a nationally respected center for innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture creation. The role requires entrepreneurial leadership, ecosystem-building capability, strategic thinking, fundraising ability, and strong execution orientation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the vision, strategy, and growth roadmap for the incubation company
- Build strong partnerships with industry, investors, government bodies, and startup ecosystems
- Design and scale incubation, acceleration, and entrepreneurship programs
- Support startups in fundraising, commercialization, market access, and scaling
- Lead fundraising efforts through grants, CSR partnerships, industry collaborations, and strategic alliances
- Build and lead a high-performance team and institutional culture
- Establish governance frameworks, operational systems, and performance processes
- Represent the organization at key national and international forums
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Postgraduate from Tier 1 institutions such as IIM, ISB, or Premier global universities or equivalent institutions.
Skill Set
- Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in startups, venture capital, innovation ecosystems, incubation, or entrepreneurship.
- Proven experience building or scaling organizations, platforms, startups, or innovation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of startup ecosystems, innovation, fundraising, and partnerships.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution capability.
