Technology Lead

We are seeking an experienced Technology professional to spearhead a research initiative at the frontier of technology, suicide prevention, and mental health. As the Technology Lead, you will build and lead a dynamic team to develop innovative technological solutions addressing critical challenges in mental health and suicide prevention. 

This is the inaugural technology role within our organisation, offering a unique opportunity to directly shape and lead our technological approach.

Role and responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the strategic direction of a new division focused on leveraging frontier technologies (AI/ML) to advance mental health and suicide prevention initiatives 

Funding and Grants: Identify and apply for grant opportunities to support the lifecycle of research projects 

Team Building: Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation 

Technology Strategy: Oversee and shape technology strategies across various programs, ensuring alignment with the organisation's overarching objectives 

Data-Driven Decision Making: Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation, using insights to inform strategic direction 

Innovation Leadership: Position the organisation at the forefront of technological innovation in mental health, driving continuous advancement and adaptation  

Experience Required 

Leadership and domain expertise in AI/ML 

Deep understanding and critical perspective on trends in AI/ML and the broader technology spectrum 

Experience managing and executing projects involving data at scale and data lifecycle management, including security 

Qualifications 

 Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
