Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), ROLE TITLE: SCIENTIST-'B' (Electronics & Communication Engineering) Key accountabilities: • Understanding product requirements, architecting, a suitable solution aften an analysis of different alternatives. • Design and/or testing of a board, including PCB design in CAD tool environment. The board would typically be a microprocessor based board, with a variety of electrical and optical network interfaces, and could involve RF/DSP/Fibre-optical system components/network processors, etc. • Desing, coding, simulation and testing of FPGA/PLD • Testing of the design and design related procured components eg. Optical modules, amplifiers, couplers, etc. • Validation of a product/solution and ensuring its working in the customer environment. • Documentation of the design, to facilitate mass production of the design and technology transfer. ROLE TITLE: SCIENTIST- 'B' (Computer Science Engineering) Key accountabilities: • Well versed with computer network and system programming having excellent software development skills and problem tackling approach. • Sound base in computer design and architecture. • Basic knowledge in RISC, CISC architecture types, and variants of processors based on Intel, MIPS and Power PC. • In depth knowledge in operating system concepts viz memory management, disk scheduling, multithreading, parallel processing, use of semaphores and tackling different deadlock situations, ways to detect and avoid them optimally. • Developer having decent knowledge in database concepts and normalization, having concrete idea about use of ER diagrams. • Expertise in C/C++/Python/MEAN stack programming and sound knowledge in optimum algorithm and design patterns. • Expertise in objective C & Swift is desirable. • Exposure in J2SE, J2EE, web technologies and Linux environment is desirable. • Exposure to Basic data science, NLP, Machine Learning, Deep Learning (CNN,RNN,LSTM) is desirable
