We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to serve as a strategic partner in driving the financial health and performance of the Credit Union. This role blends high-impact FP&A leadership with strong accounting expertise, supporting budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and performance insights—while helping ensure sound financial operations, compliance, and a culture of continuous improvement aligned with CWCU’s values of Respect, Compassion, Ethics, Integrity, and Humor.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Financial Planning & Analysis (70%)
- Partner with business units to develop forecasts, budgets, and long-range financial plans
- Conduct scenario analysis, financial modeling, and sensitivity analysis to evaluate business initiatives and investment opportunities
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance, efficiency, and member value
- Prepare and present financial analysis to senior management and support strategic planning initiatives
- Advocate for change and recommend improvements that benefit employees and members
- Develop, monitor, and report on key financial metrics, trends, and variances to support decisions
- Support the annual budgeting process, including data gathering, analysis, and presentation of budget vs. actual results
- Demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude and commitment to accuracy and timeliness in reporting
Audit, Compliance & Risk Management (15%)
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing and submitting requested materials
- Support exam and audit preparation, including resolution of regulatory and audit findings
- Support compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations through accurate reporting, analysis, and documentation
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and process improvements
- Make sound decisions aligned with organizational priorities and the highest standards of ethics and integrity
Training, Mentorship & Team Collaboration (10%)
- Mentor and train accounting staff; provide guidance and support as needed
- Foster cooperation and collaboration within the accounting team to achieve department goals
- Establish and maintain effective relationships internally, with members, and with community partners
- Communicate clearly and concisely, tailoring messages to the audience and building rapport at all levels
- Support a culture of continuous learning, open dialogue, and shared achievement
Other Duties (5%)
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on policies and regulatory requirements
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, ensuring alignment with CWCU values and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, treasury, ALM, preferably within a financial institution
- Demonstrated understanding of GAAP, financial institution accounting, and regulatory requirements
- Advanced proficiency in accounting and financial analysis tools (e.g., Great Plains, Excel, Power BI, or similar)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

$68,560-$85,700
