Job Summary: Job objective is to prepare the employee for a regular sales territory
assignment. Training will be a combination of formal, on-the-job, and special assignments.
Trainee will focus on selling skills, retail sales, time and territory management, product
knowledge, merchandising, Orgill programs, competitors’ programs, basic business principles,
computer skills and access to resources, and Orgill’s unique approach to the market.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Successfully pass all required OCU modules.
- Attend all Sales meetings.
- Participate in a MDR project.
- Help set-up Dealer Markets.
- Work as a booth representative at all Dealer Markets.
- Aid in all phases of a conversion project.
- Assist in bin-tagging projects.
- Travel with a Business Development Manager.
- Travel with a Sales Representative.
- Work sales territories to cover for vacations and leaves of absence.
- Work at an Orgill retailer.
- Pick orders at a DC.
- Make deliveries with an Orgill driver.
- Work in the Customer Service Department.
- Other duties as assigned.*

Success Factors: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have a working knowledge of email, internet, and Microsoft Office computer
applications.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be willing to travel 4 – 5 days per week on an on-going basis.
- Must be willing to relocate at Company expense when assigned a territory.
- Prefer candidate with Associate or Bachelor degree.
- Prefer candidate with at least two years of related business or sales experience in our industry (retail or wholesale hardware, lumber, building materials, farm supply)
