Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Retail Learning & Development Specialist supports the Retail division by delivering training, maintaining learning materials, and reinforcing operational consistency across branch teams. This role facilitates training for teller and banker positions, ensures training content is accurate and aligned with current procedures, and supports branch performance through learning initiatives and operational guidance.


The position focuses on execution of training delivery, content updates, and day-to-day support of retail learning and operational consistency.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Facilitate virtual training sessions for teller, banker, and other retail roles using established curriculum.
  • Support learners through demonstration, guided practice, and clarification of procedures.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to promote engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Provide ongoing support to trainees following training sessions to reinforce learning outcomes.

Training Content Management

  • Maintain and update training materials including job aids, guides, and reference documents.
  • Ensure content reflects current policies, procedures, systems, and operational expectations.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to incorporate updates and maintain consistency across materials.
  • Audit learning content within the LMS or intranet to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Retail Learning Support

  • Support retail leaders in identifying training needs and skill gaps across branch teams.
  • Assist with scheduling, preparation, and coordination of training sessions.
  • Provide subject matter support related to procedures, systems, and operational questions.
  • Support development of learning pathways for retail positions.

Operational & Compliance Support

  • Monitor adherence to operational procedures and internal controls within retail branches.
  • Identify inconsistencies or errors in execution and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Provide clarification and guidance to branch staff on proper procedures and expectations.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring training materials and operational practices align with requirements.
  • Track trends in errors or procedural questions to identify training opportunities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Maintain and update branch scorecard information.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in similar job duties
