Duties
Leading development and implementation of Medicare Advantage and PACE policy initiatives, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to CMS senior leadership on complex program and operational issues.,Analyzing legislation, regulations, and healthcare trends to develop policies that improve access, equity, compliance, and quality within Medicare Advantage and related health plan programs.,Serving as CMS’s technical authority on marketing, surveillance, and compliance issues, advising internal and external stakeholders on policy interpretation and program administration.,Coordinating cross-functional projects and high-level briefings, representing MCAG in meetings with CMS leadership, HHS officials, congressional staff, and healthcare stakeholders.

In order to qualify for the GS-15, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Analyzing, developing and interpreting healthcare policy and program operations; 2) Providing technical advice on issues that affect program operations, state and local governments, and private health care organizations; 3) Managing project requirements, tasks, schedules of projects in order to maintain quality assurance and timeliness of project objectives; AND 4) Providing direction to staff to develop guidance documents, policy briefs, and standard operating procedures for the implementation or changes to those policies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
