Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a center head for Garo Hills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Strategic Leadership & Execution: Drive the overall strategy, operations, and growth of the center. Set ambitious goals for startup growth, funding, and success.
· Program Management: Oversee the end-to-end execution of entrepreneurship development programs, including scoping, budgeting, and scheduling.
· Ecosystem Building & Partnerships: Cultivate a robust network of stakeholders, including investors, mentors, industry partners, government bodies (State/Central), and academia.
· Startup Support & Mentoring: Guide startups on business model development, fundraising, product-market fit, and scaling.
· Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including event management (workshops, demo days, accelerators).
· Monitoring & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), maintain Management Information Systems (MIS), and provide progress reports to stakeholders and the board.
· Brand Representation: Represent the incubator at public forums, policy discussions, and industry events to enhance brand visibility.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Education: Graduate/postgraduate degree from a reputed institution, preferably in business management, technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Postgraduates: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Graduates: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Background: 3 -15 years of experience in startups, incubators/accelerators, venture capital, or consultancy.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team and manage stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (local language proficiency like Garo is a plus).
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, technology trends, and the social impact sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and MIS reporting.
- Mindset: Self-driven, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
· Essential Educational Qualifications required for this role*: Graduate
· Desirable Qualifications/Certification required for this role: Postgraduate
