Position: Office Operations Intern Schedule: Full or Part Time (20–40 hours per week, unpaid internship) Location: Washington, DC The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is seeking a proactive and highly organized individual to join its Administrative Operations team as an Office Operations Intern. This intern will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day functioning of CEPA’s office, ensuring smooth operations, strong internal coordination, and a positive in-office experience for staff and visitors. The Office Operations Intern will assist with administrative processes, office logistics, vendor coordination, and internal systems that keep the organization running efficiently. This internship offers hands-on exposure to nonprofit operations, office management, and institutional support within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys creating order and structure. They are comfortable juggling multiple tasks, communicating with a variety of stakeholders, and taking initiative to solve operational challenges as they arise. Key Responsibilities - Support daily office operations, including workspace organization, supply management, and general office upkeep. - Assist with coordinating office logistics such as meeting setups, guest visits, and internal events. - Provide administrative support to the Administrative Operations team, including tracking requests, maintaining documentation, and updating internal systems. - Help manage office inventory, place supply orders, and coordinate with vendors as needed. - Support internal processes related to facilities, technology coordination, and shared office resources. - Assist with onboarding logistics for new staff and interns (workspace setup, access coordination, materials). - Collaborate with HR and program teams to support a positive and well-functioning in-office environment. - Conduct research and assist with special projects related to office efficiency, systems improvement, and operations best practices. Qualifications Education: - Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Management, International Relations). - Minimum junior or senior standing in undergraduate studies, or enrollment in a graduate program. Skills: - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams). - Ability to manage details, follow processes, and maintain accurate records. - Comfort handling logistical and administrative tasks with consistency and care. Interest & Knowledge: - Demonstrated interest in office operations, nonprofit administration, or organizational effectiveness. - Interest in learning how mission-driven organizations operate behind the scenes. Professional Traits: - Reliable, proactive, and solutions-oriented. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - Team-oriented with a willingness to support wherever needed. - Adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic environment. Availability: - Commitment to three months, with agreed-upon hours per week between 20–40 hours. - Ability to work in CEPA’s Washington, DC office; some flexibility for hybrid work depending on role needs.
