Job Description
The Sanitation Manager Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections. Develops Sanitation procedures for all areas of the company. Prepares and schedules training to cover workplace sanitation and other relevant topics. Monitors compliance with safety and sanitation procedures. May work some night shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Handle sanitation employee scheduling, conflict resolution, corrective action, etc.
· Responsible for developing and executing sanitation plans in the workplace to follow legal guidelines.
· Ensures that all employees understand GMP’s and Cellone’s employee handbook.
· Ensure proper staffing is available to efficiently conduct sanitation activities that maintain or exceed company standards.
· Preparing and enforcing company policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
· Works with Quality Managers to ensure Bakery sanitation readiness for yearly audits.
· Reports shortcomings on shop organization to Director of Operations to ensure corrective actions take place.
Qualifications
· 5 + years’ supervisory and sanitation experience in a food production facility.
· Understand and have knowledge of chemicals used in the cleaning process; understand the manufacturing process and systems to ensure proper sanitization of equipment and efficient line start-ups.
· Ability to correctly operate all equipment and understand SOPs for all positions throughout bakery.
· Effectively communicate GMP’s, workplace safety, and all company policies and procedures
· High school degree or equivalent
· Strong Communication skills; verbal and written
· Good practical understanding of manufacturing equipment and factors driving efficiency
· Microsoft Office 365 software knowledge
