About the role

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Assistant supports warehouse operations through completion of various tasks and responsibilities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Remain compliant on all SOP’s, training, policies and procedures.
  • Fills and delivers all laboratory supply request including but not limited to assistance in maintaining the inventory file, weekly cycle counts, daily temp/humidity log and completing all the required paperwork.
  • Delivers of other departmental supply request including but not limited to office supplies, mail/letters, items to and from Lab off-site slide storage
  • Makes deliveries to and from the outside kit assembly as required 
  • Assembly of test kits and meet quota goals set by supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness of company truck between usage for deliveries and other trips
  • Attend all in house training as requested.
  • Assist Supervisor and/or Management in any job related functions.
  • Assist with routine department maintenance 
  • Inspection and quality control on incoming kits , incoming parts and supplies
  • Placing Kit orders through kit ordering system
  • Preparing supplies for production as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to perform complex task and to prioritize multiple projects with skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and to make evaluative judgments
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to take initiative on work/projects that need to be done
  • Ability to work with a group to get work done
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office basics (word, excel, outlook) and basic computer skills

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands: 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials
  • Moderate lifting (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times) 
  • Stooping, turning, bending, squatting kneeling 
  • Ability to operate machinery, heavy equipment, and/or power tools
  • Ascending/descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc.
  • Ability to work in an environment conducive to a warehouse, laboratory and office setting
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (ex. face mask, goggles, latex/non-latex gloves) as   needed.
