Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and skilled Chef de Partie (CDP) and Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) for our Bakery & Chocolate section. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in artisanal baking, pastry production, and chocolate craftsmanship, with a strong focus on quality, creativity, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare a wide range of baked goods including breads, viennoiseries, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
Handle chocolate work including pralines, truffles, bonbons, showpieces, and chocolate decorations.
Ensure daily mise en place is completed efficiently for bakery and chocolate operations.
Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation as per brand standards.
Monitor freshness and quality of ingredients and finished products.
Ensure all products meet hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
Follow standardized recipes and portion control.
Contribute to new menu development and seasonal offerings.
Design visually appealing desserts and chocolate displays.
Stay updated with industry trends in bakery and chocolate techniques.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
Follow HACCP and food safety guidelines strictly.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
- Team Management (for CDP)
Supervise and guide junior staff and commis chefs.
Assist Sous Chef/Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Train team members in baking and chocolate techniques.
Experience
Key Requirements:
CDP: 4–6 years of experience in bakery & chocolate section.
DCDP: 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience in luxury resorts, 5-star hotels, or premium bakeries preferred.
Skills
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry arts, and chocolate tempering.
Expertise in artisanal breads, desserts, and confectionery.
Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
Creativity and attention to detail in presentation.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
