Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CCTV Technician role based in Mumbai. The technician will install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, recorders, and related security equipment at client locations. Daily tasks include site surveys, cabling and mounting devices, testing system performance, and ensuring proper integration with existing security infrastructure. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine inspections, and documenting work performed and equipment used. The technician will interact with clients to explain system features, provide basic user training, and ensure a professional, safe, and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in CCTV installation, including mounting, cabling, configuration, and basic networking for security systems.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with clients, understand requirements, and explain solutions clearly.
- Ability to troubleshoot system and hardware issues, identify root causes, and perform timely repairs or adjustments.
- Awareness of hazardous materials and safety practices, with the ability to follow safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment.
- Previous experience as a CCTV technician or in a similar security systems role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools relevant to installation and maintenance work.
- Ability to work on-site across Mumbai, including at client premises, sometimes in confined or elevated spaces.
- Secondary school education or technical diploma in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
