Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a CCTV and Fire Alarm System Field Engineer located in the Greater Ahmedabad Area. The Field Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and commissioning CCTV and fire alarm systems at client sites, ensuring that all equipment and wiring meet technical and safety standards. The role includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting system faults, replacing or repairing components, and documenting service activities. The engineer will coordinate with project managers and clients to understand site requirements, conduct surveys, and support system design and layout. Day-to-day tasks also involve training end users on system operation, maintaining accurate records of installations and service calls, and adhering to company processes and local regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in CCTV systems, fire alarm panels, detectors, and related security hardware and wiring.
- Knowledge of surveillance, intrusion, and access control systems, including basic networking for IP-based equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
- Experience with on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of electronic security systems.
- Understanding of relevant safety standards, local fire and building regulations, and best practices for field work.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently at customer locations.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Willingness to travel within the Greater Ahmedabad Area and nearby regions for project and service requirements.
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field; relevant certifications in CCTV or fire alarm systems are an advantage.
