The I&E Designer is responsible for supporting the development of detailed design packages for instrumentation and electrical systems in industrial and oil & gas facilities. This position is based in the Hilcorp Anchorage office and will report directly to the Hilcorp Manager. The I&E Designer works closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and operational requirements. This role will support Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) efforts and assist in incorporating corrosion circuit considerations into design deliverables.

- Assist in the preparation and revision of I&E design drawings, including loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument location plans, and cable schedules
- Participating in PHA reviews by supporting node identification and incorporating instrumentation safeguards into design documents
- Support instrumentation design efforts for pressure, temperature, level, and flow measurement devices
- Assist with aligning design documents to corrosion circuit requirements, including tagging and access for inspection points
- Update and maintain redlines, as-builts, and project documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and operations personnel to support project execution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of instrumentation and electrical systems in an industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn PHA processes and corrosion circuit concepts
- Proficiency or exposure to AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
