Role Overview
The Vice President, People Systems & HRIS is a senior HR leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the strategy, governance, and continuous evolution of the company’s enterprise people systems.
Sitting within Human Resources, this role serves as the product owner of the HR systems ecosystem, with end-to-end accountability for how systems are designed, configured, and optimized to enable business performance, workforce strategy, and an exceptional team member experience.
This leader will bring deep expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud and HR process design, translating business needs into scalable, integrated system solutions. The role partners closely with Technology and Finance to ensure strong architecture, integration, and data integrity, while retaining clear accountability within HR for driving system improvements and results.
The Vice President will build and lead a high-performing team, establish disciplined governance, and drive a multi-year roadmap that advances automation, AI-enabled capabilities, data-driven decision-making, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Enterprise HRIS Strategy, Product Ownership & Roadmap
- Define and lead execution of a multi-year roadmap for Oracle Fusion HCM and the broader people systems ecosystem, aligned to enterprise growth and talent strategy.
- Serve as the HR product owner for all people systems, translating business priorities into system design, configuration, and enhancements
- Lead end-to-end solution design, ensuring HR processes are effectively enabled through scalable, intuitive systems.
- Establish and lead an enterprise HRIS governance model, including intake, prioritization, service levels, and roadmap transparency.
- Partner with Technology team to ensure alignment on architecture, integrations, cybersecurity, and data governance while maintaining HR ownership of functional priorities.
- Partner with Finance to align systems with workforce planning, headcount forecasting, and financial reporting requirements.
- Partner with the Business Transformation, Innovation and AI teams to drive continuous improvement while leveraging AI-enabled functionality.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and data governance requirements.
System Configuration, Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Own the configuration strategy and standards within Oracle HCM Cloud across all modules, ensuring consistency, scalability, and quality.
- Ensure systems effectively support:
- Scalable and standardized HR processes
- Seamless end-to-end team member lifecycle experiences
- Accurate, auditable, and integrated data flows
- Drive continuous improvement through:
- Workflow automation and digitization
- Reduction of manual processes and complexity
- Expansion of reporting and analytics capabilities
- Establish disciplined release management, testing, and change management practices.
- Build structured feedback loops with HR and business leaders to continuously enhance system effectiveness.
- Evaluate and implement new capabilities, including AI-enabled functionality and adjacent platforms, to advance system maturity.
Data, Analytics & Insights
- Advance enterprise workforce data and reporting capabilities to support real-time, data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility across systems and platforms.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to translate data into actionable insights that inform talent, workforce, and business strategies.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team with expertise across HR systems, configuration, product management, and analytics.
- Establish clear performance expectations, service delivery standards, and accountability measures.
- Develop team capabilities in system configuration, product ownership, vendor management, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and service excellence.
