The role is based in Mumbai and works closely with the Europe Client Business Analytics team in London. It is a strategic analytics position focused on translating complex client, revenue, interaction, and market feedback data into clear, actionable insight that informs commercial decision-making across Europe Distribution.
Operating as an analytical extension of the onshore CBA team, you will support data-driven discussions on client prioritisation, resource deployment, and competitive positioning. By synthesising multiple data sources into high-quality analysis, you will enable senior stakeholders to make informed decisions on client strategy and coverage priorities.
You will partner closely with senior Sales, Sales Trading, and Distribution leadership to analyse client profitability
and commercial performance, ensuring insights are directly aligned to revenue growth and strategic decisions.

The Global Markets Group (GMG) is Morgan Stanley’s offshore arm for Sales & Trading in India. GMG supports the IED platform by partnering with onshore teams across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Quantitative/Strats, Analytics, Operations and Risk Management. The group provides scalable coverage, process excellence and technical expertise, enabling global desks to focus on client-facing priorities while maintaining strong controls, governance and risk discipline.

What You'll Do In The Role
Client & Revenue Intelligence
- Deliver analysis on client revenue trends, momentum, and product mix
- Identify growth opportunities, revenue gaps, and shifts in client strategy
- Produce bespoke and recurring analytics that assess client profitability and commercial performance
Client Strategy & Account Analytics
- Develop data-driven perspectives to support client reviews, including identification of strategic priorities, opportunities, and action items
- Synthesize quantitative data with qualitative inputs to build a holistic view of clients
- Identify revenue opportunities and wallet share gaps across clients and products.
Interaction & Resource Optimisation
- Analyse client engagement patterns and resource allocation
- Identify over- and under-served clients to inform coverage strategy and prioritization
Vote Analytics and Feedback
- Capture, validate, and interpret broker vote outcomes and client feedback
- Provide senior stakeholders with actionable insights based on vote trends, translate market positioning into clear insights on competitive performance
Executive Reporting & Insight Delivery
- Produce high-impact and insight-driven client briefings, management packs, and strategic summaries for senior leadership
- Deliver concise, commercially focused outputs designed for senior leadership consumption
- Track key opportunities, action items, and progress from client and business reviews
Client Tiering & Coverage Frameworks
- Maintain and evolve client tiering frameworks based on revenue, engagement, and strategic importance
- Support coverage and resource allocation decisions through structured, data-backed analysis
Analytics Infrastructure & Process Excellence
- Drive standardization and automation of reporting processes to improve scalability and consistency
- Actively leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot) to accelerate insight generation, summarize complex datasets, and enhance the quality and speed of executive reporting
Experience
What you'll bring to the role:
- CA or MBA with 7-10 years with relevant experience in financial services analytics.
- Knowledge and experience in the Finance industry.
Advanced Analytical Capability
- Advanced experience analysing large, complex datasets and extracting meaningful insight
- Proven ability to draw commercial insight from multiple datasets and articulate it clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Expert-level Excel skills and strong data handling capability
Commercial Acumen
- Strong understanding of how data translates into client strategy, revenue outcomes, and coverage decisions
- Awareness of financial markets and client coverage models
Communication & Influence
- Ability to distil complex analysis into clear, executive-ready messaging
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic discussions
Automation & Innovation Mindset
- Track record of improving processes through automation and standardisation
- Practical use of AI tools to enhance analytical output and efficiency

- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
