Description
Performs supervised individual and group counseling, supervision, crisis intervention, and consultation/outreach.
Provides psychological assessments, intakes, and referrals.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Education, Experience, and Background:
- Advanced MSW or 2nd Year Student; master's in counseling student.
- Completion or receipt of college program documentation.
- Clean background and child abuse registry checks.
What I am Responsible for (Essential Functions):
- Learn and implement Cathedral Home's philosophy, goals, policies, and objectives.
- Engage in therapeutic-related tasks that promote client rapport and engagement, as assigned, and supported by the education program/internship supervisor.
- Provide client services (under the supervision of a qualified clinician) that include individual, family, and group interventions, case management, client advocacy, and other tasks assigned and/or approved by internship supervisor.
- Adhere to and model trauma-informed-based practices.
- Participate in professional skill development via on-site supervision, consultation, and feedback.
- Punctual and dependable. Work hours may vary depending on the clinical department's and the client's needs.
- Self-monitor the scope of practice to ensure it does not exceed the education level and competence, as outlined by the education program and internship supervisor.
- Participate in agency meetings as determined by the internship supervisor.
- Learn and practice clinical documentation and record-keeping in accordance with agency electronic systems and policies.
- Establish professional relationships with staff, leadership, and other professionals.
