Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, inspecting, packaging, and shipping control panels and parts with a high level of accuracy and care. The ideal candidate takes pride in organization, quality, and efficiency, and has hands-on experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Order Fulfillment
- Prepare all outgoing parts, panels, and materials for shipment with accuracy and attention to detail
- Verify all items against sales orders and ensure completeness before shipment
- Package panels, parts, and documentation to prevent damage during transit
- Create and print Bills of Lading (BOL), shipping labels, and packing slips
- Coordinate shipments by obtaining freight quotes (excluding UPS/FedEx) and selecting cost-effective options
- Perform final quality checks and complete required inspection documentation
Documentation & Inventory Control
- Take and upload digital photos of outgoing shipments to the correct project folders
- Scan and maintain shipment records and job documentation on the server
- Organize and close out job folders accurately and efficiently
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and warehouse area
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using a forklift and/or pallet jack
- Assist with inventory handling and material movement within the facility
- Dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with company procedures
Equipment & Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance on shipping equipment, including InstaPak machine and saws
- Report equipment issues and assist with general upkeep of tools and workspace
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Required: Proven experience operating a forklift
- Prior shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience strongly preferred
- Clean driving record
Skills & Abilities
Technical Skills
- Basic computer proficiency (file management, scanning, data entry)
- Ability to read a tape measure and operate tools such as nail guns and chop saws
- Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 75 lbs
Soft Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to approximately 80% of the work shift, is required.
- Frequent use of arms and legs for handling materials and operating equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16 - $18 per hour.

Schedule:
· Monday – Friday, either 7:30 am – 4:30 pm or 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break. Also, the ability to come in early/stay late.
· Saturdays 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, noon, is preferred.
