Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region for a Category Manager specializing in Health Foods & Supplements. The Category Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the assigned product category, analyzing market trends, handling procurement and inventory, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring the effective execution of the sales plan to meet business goals. The role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize the product portfolio and improve customer satisfaction.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Category Manager to manage the end-to-end performance of product categories including health supplements, wellness products, and related retail offerings. The role involves vendor management, inventory planning, pricing, and driving category profitability across clinics and online channels.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management
- Manage assigned product categories to drive sales growth and profitability
- Monitor category performance, margins, and stock health
Vendor Management
- Source and onboard vendors for supplements, wellness products, and related items
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supply timelines
Inventory & Supply Planning
- Plan inventory levels to ensure product availability across clinics
- Monitor stock movement, expiry management, and reduce shrinkage
Pricing & Promotions
- Work with sales and marketing teams to design pricing strategies and promotional campaigns
- Track impact of promotions on category performance
Operations Coordination
- Coordinate with clinic operations, warehouse, and logistics teams for smooth stock flow
- Ensure timely replenishment and minimize stock-outs
Reporting & Analytics
- Track category KPIs including sales, margins, inventory turnover, and expiry losses
- Provide regular performance insights and improvement recommendations
Desired Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years experience in category management, merchandising, procurement, or retail buying
- Experience working with healthcare, wellness, FMCG, pharmacy, or retail products preferred
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Good understanding of inventory planning and stock control
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
