We are looking for a Category Manager who will own the growth, performance, and overall strategy of assigned product categories. The role involves managing product assortment, pricing, vendor coordination, inventory planning, campaign execution, and driving revenue and profitability for the category.
The ideal candidate should be analytical, commercially driven, and have a strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall performance and growth of assigned product categories
- Plan and execute category strategies to drive sales, margins, and customer engagement
- Analyze sales trends, customer insights, competitor activity, and market opportunities
- Manage product assortment, launches, pricing, and promotions
- Coordinate with internal teams including marketing, operations, supply chain, and design
- Work closely with vendors and external partners for sourcing and negotiations
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability while minimizing excess inventory
- Track category KPIs including revenue, sell-through, margins, conversion, and inventory turnover
- Support campaign planning, seasonal launches, and new product development
- Identify opportunities for category expansion and process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, Merchandising, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, buying, or e-commerce
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of consumer trends and market dynamics
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in D2C, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or e-commerce brands
- Understanding of P&L and margin management
- Data-driven decision-making approach
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
