Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Category Manager role based in New Delhi. The Category Manager will oversee assigned spend categories, develop category strategies, and manage end-to-end procurement activities to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance. The role involves analyzing spend data, market trends, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for savings and value creation. The Category Manager will lead contract negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate closely with internal stakeholders such as finance, operations, and sales to align sourcing decisions with business needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing category plans, running sourcing events (RFPs/RFQs), monitoring contract compliance, and tracking key performance indicators for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong category management and procurement skills, with experience developing and executing category strategies.
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret spend data, market insights, and performance metrics for informed decision-making.
- Seasonal planning and launch (range planning, oversee design, product development, production)
- NBD+ Ad Hoc and launch (range planning, oversee design, product development, production)
- Understanding of sales processes and commercial drivers to align sourcing strategies with revenue and growth objectives.
- Experience in Fashion & Lifestyle is mandatory
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against deadlines.
- Proficiency with procurement or ERP systems and advanced use of spreadsheets and analytical tools.
