JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a visionary and high-impact Category Head to lead our e-commerce category
functions. With over 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for the overarching strategic
direction and end-to-end P&L ownership of our product portfolios. You will lead a
high-performing team to optimize assortment, drive massive revenue growth, and solidify
HealthSense’s market leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership & P&L Ownership
Total P&L Accountability: Own the end-to-end P&L for all categories, delivering on
aggressive revenue, profit, and inventory turnover KPIs.
- Strategic Growth: Define and execute long-term category roadmaps aligned with overall
business goals.
- Market Intelligence: Lead market research, competitor analysis, and consumer insights
to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities.
Vendor & Supply Chain Management
- Advanced Negotiation: Lead high-level negotiations for terms, pricing, and promotional
support to maximize margins.
- Assortment Planning: Forecast long-term demand and manage complex assortment
planning to meet margin goals and ensure product availability.Merchandising & Performance
- Platform Excellence: Drive category performance across Amazon and other e-commerce
platforms through elite pricing and visibility tactics.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and design teams for high-conversion
campaign planning and listing optimization.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor and reduce returns, cancellations, and out-of-stock rates
through data-driven decisions.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Team Management: Mentor and manage a team of category managers to drive a
result-oriented environment.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with operations, supply chain, finance, and
product teams to ensure smooth execution of category plans.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in category management, merchandising,
or buying in the e-commerce or retail industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Amazon,
Shopify, etc.) and proficiency in Excel and category dashboards.
Core Competencies: Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical
problem-solving skills.
